Yeah this fight is a lose lose for her. She either kills Rika with the Onigari no Ryuuou
and ends her looping or she gets killed by it and can no longer loop. Kinda confused as to why they looped so many times, even when Rika seemed to have the upper hand fighting back, Satoko should've been killed and lost her memory (or ability to loop, can't remember which) but they ended up looping and picking right up where they left off. When they were tangling for the Onigari no Ryuuou, though, I could see them looping because of it's power, without anyone dying, but before that was a little confusing.

Yeah, I was wondering how Rika didn’t manage to win even a single fight throughout that sequence, lol…was a really cool scene though, so I’ll give the questionable details a pass. :p

They were too caught up in the excitement of the episodes performance to worry about such inconvenient plot details.

I believe thats purposely a point being made but at the same time over 100 years both Rika and Satoko arent really human anymore they are both on par with the gods that gave them power time and more time by they have pretty much turned into gods thats why they have those eyes it symbolizes it
As in the eyes dont mean control by gods, they do what they want purely no influence all that power they obtain over years of experience. Satoko just got power hungry rotten while Rika always thinking of saving herself and the others, Satoko just dirty messing around remember she went against one of her one shard memories of self, she has evolved from that whiny baby to a selfish bitch pretty much and doesnt care the harm shes doing to others mor herself.
